So pretending for a moment that my last post wasn't in April, I could claim I'm not merely hopping the blog bandwagon but simply maintaing my trend setting ways! However, I am about to share my New Years Resolutions with you all which loudly declares my "follow the crowd" personality.
Goal # 1 - keep the boys out of and away from, the bathroom toilet, the kitchen cupboards, dish soap, wood glue, popcorn seeds, mud, water, expensive shampoo, heater vents (a horrifying story so don't ask), concrete stairs, actually this list goes on for a while so I'll spare you the rest!
Goal # 2 - to keep my kitchen clean, yikes that's a tall order so I'll settle for pretty clean, that sounds better.
Goal # 3 - to exercise every day. Sweet escape, no one is allowed to bother me while I'm exercising!
Goal # 4 - to maintain my patience even when Nate is peeking under the door while I'm in the bathroom asking "what are you doing in there mom".
Wow, I think 4 goals is more than plenty so I'm calling it a day.
G'night

Toy Box Project

This is the toy box I have been working on for the boys, grandma gave it to me to recover but when I pulled off all the fabric I loved the wood underneath so much I decided to go a different direction. I haven't finished the lid quite yet because I haven't quite figured out how to finish it yet. As you can see Jer did all the staining but I promise that I did the rest :) Nate is mildly happy about having a toy box but his dad and I are thrilled...finally a place to keep all of the toys besides the floor!!

New Do!

So, in keeping with the tradition of new mommyhood, I decided to whack of my long locks. Brenda did a fabulous job and I'm lovin' my new look. And thanks to the Deyholos' for the fantastic breakfast...eggs, bacon, pancakes, strawberries...need I say more?
Also featured is Nate's new (okay more like recycled) bike, and our uber ghetto back gate!
Loves to everyone!

Baby Shower
Andrew Archer Olson

Little Andrew was born on Feb 10, 9 days early (not that I'm complaining). Nate loves being an big brother and he is my little helper. His favourite job is getting the new diapers, only the diapers with the best pictures make the cut! We are slowly adjusting to being a 2 kid family, but we are certainly looking forward to sleeping through the night.

Family Photo
We just got our family photo, so I thought I'd add it to the pile of pictures already up here. Nate is growing like crazy; the doctor said he's in the 90th percentile for weight, and 95th for length. The sumo-sized child is also learning how to hold his head up, but refuses to roll over quite yet. (I've even tried giving him doggy treats).
Ah. We've also trained Nate to use the remote control. He loves to hang out and channel surf.Until next time,
Jeremy

Newest Pics of the Li'l Guy
Nate just had his weigh-in today at the doctor's, at just over three weeks old. He wrecked the scale at 10 lbs 15 oz, a gain of 14 oz in this past week. If baby wrestling existed, I'd sign him up for the heavyweight division.
This first picture is Nate training for the Green Berets. He can camouflage on a pattern of multicoloured fluffy animals like no one else:

He might think it's a prison living with us, with that dorky hat, the bars and all:
The shirt reads "My dad's a geek." Say no more: (It must run in the family)
